Studio views And Hamilton Cove II woodblock print

It’s been a real winter as you can see from the snow around my studio. I took this picture sometime last month in February. There is a retaining wall about 3′ high with a garden in front of the building. Luckily my main entrance is on the side.

Inside I’ve been busy cutting block and printing when I am not at my teaching job. A couple of summers ago I made this watercolor sketch at Hamilton Cove in Lubec, Maine. It has taken me a year and a half to finally figure out how to use it for a print.

So basically I only used the top half in the print and I put a border around it. On some prints, I like the way it holds the image in and it has kind of a vintage look.
